With over 20 years of expertise in land drilling, we deliver reliable and adaptable field drilling, probing, and in-situ testing services tailored to your project needs.
Our team of certified drillers holds NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling along with CSCS, First Aid, and SSSTS qualifications, ensuring every project is completed safely and efficiently. Equipped with a wide range of drilling methods and tools, we accommodate various depths and specifications for ground investigations across all types of sites—from open land and confined spaces to interior settings, restricted access areas, and even remote locations such as high-altitude communication towers and wind power installations.
Whether you’re looking for standalone drilling services or integrated support alongside our in-house contaminated land and geotechnical consultancy, we have the skills and resources to deliver results you can trust.

All-Terrain Window Sampling
Our all-terrain, rubber-tracked window sampling vehicle is designed to navigate challenging terrains and steep slopes, providing access to remote sites such as high-ground communication towers and wind power installations. Its rubberised tracks and wide base minimise ground disturbance, making it ideal for sensitive environments.
For remote or hard-to-reach locations where traditional window sample rigs aren’t feasible, we employ our handheld window sampling system. This system uses a handheld hydraulic breaker to drive conventional or window barrels into the ground, and hydraulic rams to extract them, enabling sample recovery at shallow depths.
Our rotary drilling services are ideal for sites requiring deep drilling over 30 meters below ground level, such as mining investigations or projects needing core samples. We offer both open-hole drilling for rapid progress to deep strata and coring for obtaining solid samples to evaluate bedrock geotechnical properties. Depending on the investigation type and water availability, drilling can be air or water flushed.
We offer precision concrete coring services with diamond-tipped bits, suitable for a range of applications using either our windowless sampling, standalone bolt-down corer, or handheld coring unit. Our standalone electric tower rig can be vacuum-attached or bolted securely to various surfaces, including floors, walls, and even ceilings, allowing us to extract cores up to 250mm in diameter with depths up to 1.5 meters depending on core size and material matrix.
Our 110-volt electric dynamic sampling rig is perfect for indoor sites where fume-free operation is essential. This unit plugs directly into the mains via a 110-volt transformer, making it highly convenient for quick, shallow-ground investigations in locations with limited access or where
Our cable percussive rig provides exceptional flexibility, functioning as both a standalone solution or in conjunction with other drilling techniques on the same site. This method allows us to obtain both disturbed and undisturbed samples for thorough logging and analysis.
Our dynamic windowless sampling rigs are an efficient solution for quick, shallow investigations of unconsolidated ground. With compact track bases, these rigs can easily access a variety of sites. While our standard rigs are diesel-powered, we also offer electric-powered options to meet specific project needs.
We have extensive experience in excavating foundation pits to expose existing structures using specialised handheld tools. Our typical excavation depth is 1.2 meters below ground level, allowing for a wider opening that facilitates thorough inspection of the foundations.

Had a great experience meeting Ian (driller) on-site at Upperboat, Pontypridd yesterday. He and Ewan made an excellent, supportive crew – a pleasure to work with. Both were eager to learn, worked hard, and delivered quality results. It was a successful day on-site that helped answer many previously unresolved questions.
