The Role

We’re looking for an experienced senior‑level professional to join our Land Remediation team and lead the delivery of geo‑environmental, geotechnical and land remediation projects across a varied portfolio of development sites.

You will be responsible for managing projects from initial site assessment through design, implementation and verification, acting as a technical lead while ensuring effective coordination between clients, regulators, internal teams and contractors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with significant technical expertise who is confident overseeing complex ground investigation and remediation works, and who can bring strong commercial, organisational, and leadership skills to our growing team. You will also play a key part in mentoring and supporting junior staff, contributing to our continued development and success.

Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage geo‑environmental, geotechnical and remediation projects from feasibility through to completion.
• Oversee ground investigations, risk assessments, earthworks strategies and remediation design.
• Provide technical review of reports, specifications and verification documentation.
• Manage project budgets, programmes, and overall commercial performance.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, contractors and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and scientists.
• Ensure compliance with current UK guidance, standards and industry best practice.

Requirements  

• Strong background in geo‑environmental, geotechnical or remediation engineering.
• Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Confident in technical reporting, risk assessment and ground modelling.
• Sound knowledge of UK guidance (e.g., BS5930, BS10175, CLR11, BSEN1997, earthworks standards).
• Clear communicator with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Solid commercial awareness.
• Full UK driving licence.
