Business Development Executive

The LK Group is a multi-award-winning organisation with over 50 team members across offices in Manchester, Swindon, and Glasgow, providing ground investigation, flood risk assessments and drainage strategies, land remediation and project management services to several sectors across the UK.

The Role

This role is to help support the Business Development & Marketing Manager to achieve our capability goals that have been set out in the LK Group Business Development and Marketing Plan. This will support the Group to sustainably grow and increase its profitability.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Relationships 

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through calls, emails, and meetings. 
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts to secure repeat business and long-term partnerships. 
  • Research and source new leads through industry networks, publications, and social media. 
  • Conduct competitor and client analysis to identify upcoming project opportunities. 
  • Represent the company at networking events, exhibitions, and client meetings across the UK. 

 

Sales & Tender Management 

  • Contribute to achieving agreed sales targets and business growth objectives. 
  • Manage tender portals, ensuring company information is accurate and up to date. 
  • Support completion of PQQs, supplier questionnaires, and tender submissions. 

 

Marketing & Communications 

  • Create engaging social media content and news stories to enhance brand visibility. 
  • Develop marketing materials including case studies, testimonials, and imagery. 
  • Produce written content such as blogs, press releases, and website updates. 
  • Coordinate company events, CPDs, and exhibitions to strengthen client engagement. 
  • Maintain accurate data within Salesforce, ensuring compliance with GDPR. 

 


Requirements

  • Self-starter and quick learner  
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships

  • Commercially minded with a drive to win new business and grow existing accounts.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to relate to/influence others at all levels – a natural communicator  
  • Excellent organisational skills demonstrating the ability to prioritise workload   
  • High level of attention to detail   
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude – works well as part of a team and autonomously  
  • Analytical aptitude to problem solving  
  • Full UK driving licence
