Supporting the Transformation of Oldham: Enabling Works at Prince’s Gate

Sep 30, 2026 General

The LK Group are proud to be supporting Prince’s Gate development in Oldham, a landmark regeneration project that will deliver 331 new homes across three phases, including 75 affordable homes.

The development, being delivered by Willmott Dixon in partnership with Muse and Oldham Council, represents a major investment in the future of Oldham town centre and forms part of Greater Manchester’s £1bn Good Growth Fund.

As part of our enabling works package, The LK Group is undertaking a comprehensive programme of ground remediation works to prepare the site for construction. A key element of this work involves the safe removal of a historic reservoir, helping to address site constraints and prepare the ground for future development.

Our team has also successfully completed tree clearance operations across the site and is now progressing with the installation of piling mats in preparation for the next phase of construction.

Working closely with the wider project team, we also assisted with the removal of existing boundary structures, enabling site hoarding to be installed quickly and efficiently. By completing these works safely, efficiently and in line with the programme, we have helped ensure the project can continue to progress smoothly as it moves into its next phase.

Projects such as Prince’s Gate demonstrate the importance of careful planning, collaboration, and specialist enabling works in bringing large-scale regeneration schemes to life. We are pleased to be working alongside industry-leading partners and contributing to a development that will have a lasting positive impact on Oldham town centre.

As works continue on site, we look forward to seeing the transformation take shape and supporting the successful delivery of this exciting regeneration project.
