New Fire Station – Project Management
The LK Group was commissioned by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue to provide project management support to the property department on the construction of the new Pontefract Fire Station.
The Project
The LK Group carried out a pre-construction planning workshop before construction
commencing, allowing the Design Team, Client, Contractor and Station Manager to
fully understand the schedule of work.
The Solution
The LK Group facilitated weekly meetings to review the forthcoming week of work, including the programme, to ensure the project was delivered accurately and on budget.
The Benefit
Our effective coordination and management, and also construction best practice,
enabled the £2m facility to achieve a BREEAM rating of ‘very good’. All works
were completed ahead of the programme and within our client’s budget.
