We’ve been appointed to deliver remediation works at a new £61m secondary school development in Wirral, supporting main contractor Willmott Dixon.
The project forms part of a major investment in local education infrastructure by the Department of Education, and will deliver a new, larger replacement for The Mosslands School in Wallasey, designed to serve the community for years to come. It will be delivered as a net zero carbon in operation building, incorporating solar panels and air and ground source heat pumps.
Our role is to carry out specialist remediation works to prepare the site for construction, ensuring ground conditions are suitable for the next phase of delivery.
Working closely with Willmott Dixon and the wider project team, our early involvement is helping to shape a coordinated approach to the works, supporting programme efficiency and ensuring everything is aligned ahead of the main build.
Projects of this scale require a careful and considered approach to remediation, particularly when it comes to managing ground conditions and meeting regulatory requirements. Our focus is on addressing these elements early, so the wider scheme can move forward with confidence.
When finished, the new campus will provide capacity for up to 1,500 pupils, including sports facilities, an all-weather pitch, and multi-use games areas, creating a modern learning and community environment for students and staff.
As a business, we’re continuing to grow our involvement across education and public sector projects, alongside our wider work in regeneration, infrastructure and complex remediation.
We look forward to continuing to work closely with Willmott Dixon and other project partners as the scheme progresses.
