The LK Group is a multidisciplinary geoenvironmental and engineering consultancy and specialist contractor. We work nationally from four UK offices and we are all about removing risk, reducing cost and adding value on sites.

If you want to unlock land, we can help. If you thought your site was undevelopable, think again. Through our desk-based site investigation and risk assessment service, we can quantify or remove the risk from your site, fixing or reducing abnormal costs from the start. Through clever earthworks modelling, we can reduce unnecessary land remediation.

OUR LEADERSHIP
Conor Leyden
Managing Director
BSc(Hons), MAPM
Conor is a qualified Building Surveyor and Project Manager. He has worked in the project and construction management industry for over 20 years.
Conor was a Project Manager for a large construction consultancy in the UK for 10 years and in 2005 he joined a leading project management company in Sydney, Australia as Associate Director.
Patrick (PJ) Leyden
Co Founder and Chairman
PJ has a wealth of experience in the engineering, construction, and land remediation sectors, with a passion for increasing land value.
Since its inception in 1997, PJ has evolved The LK Group into a respected multi disciplinary engineering and environmental company, helping developers, main contractors and the public sector to maximise their land and property assets. His passion for solving complex and technical challenges has shaped the way we operate and fostered the ‘can do’ attitude of our team.
Colin Crompton
Director
MIEnvSc
Colin has over 20 years’ experience in the investigation, assessment and management of contaminated land, in both the consultancy and regulatory sectors.
Colin joined The LK Group in 2005. Prior to this, he spent five years as a Senior Environmental Protection Officer with Bury MBC.
Dr. Paul Quimby
Technical Director
PhD, BSc(Hons), MIEnvSc, CSci
Paul is an ex-Contaminated Land Officer for the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and joined The LK Group in 2007, bringing with over 15 years’ experience in the investigation, assessment, and management of contaminated land.
He is passionate about good quality consultancy, undertaking modelling and detailed qualitive risk assessments to de-risk projects. Paul is well-established in academia, lecturing an MSc course at The University of Manchester.
Dave Anderson
Director
BSc(Hons)
Dave is a qualified Environmental Scientist, with a background in mechanical engineering. He has extensive on-site experience in the regeneration of brownfield land, providing cost effective and sustainable reuse options for a diverse range of clients.
Dave oversees contracts management, health and safety, operations and management systems. Typical developments include residential, commercial, industrial and landscape.
Mark Jones
SuDS & Flood Risk Associate
BEng, CEng, C.WEM, MICE, FCIWEM
Mark has 40 years’ experience in the construction industry. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Chartered Water and Environmental Manager; practised in site supervision, design and build, and managing design teams.
His career has encompassed infrastructure design and construction supervision, including: dams, highways, pipelines, sewers, and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). Mark joined The LK Group in 2013 and supports our clients with his areas of expertise: SuDS, flood risk, drainage design, expert witness and reviewing third-party reports.
