The Role:

Due to our continued growth and client demand, we have the opportunity for a self-motivated individual for the position of Geo-environmental Engineer working as part of our Ground Investigation team.  

As Geo-environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out desk studies, ground investigations, site monitoring and producing reports. 

This is an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a unique company. You will play your part in the wider team, by supporting our client-side project management consultancy and land remediation contracting sections.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Phase 1 desk studies including site visits. 
  • Phase 2 site investigations, including supervision of contractors, sampling and logging of exploratory holes. 
  • Gas and groundwater monitoring. 
  • Validation of remedial measures. 
  • Factual report writing. 
  • Client liaison

Key Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field such as geology, geography, environmental science, geophysics, or geochemistry. An additional higher degree may also be an advantage. 
  • 1.5-2 years’ experience undertaking desk studies and site investigations.  
  • High motivation for this specific opportunity. 
  • Ability to work under own initiative while fully co-ordinating with line manager’s requirements. 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Full UK driving licence.
